A beautifully restored 1939 John Alden schooner, When and If was designed for American General George S. Patton to sail around the world “When and If” he returned from Europe during WWII. She is the embodiment of the hope and the ambition to follow a dream – a stunning sailing machine designed to accommodate a family in comfort through heavy weather offshore or light coastal cruising.

The yacht has two large awnings, which can be set to provide shelter from the sun or light rain, as well as a large, light deck house with 360 degree views to enjoy the sailing from a more sheltered spot. The cockpit is the perfect place for an evening beverage at anchor, and her wide spacious decks make her an ideal cruising boat for family and friends with plenty of space to set up lunch, enjoy some drinks or soak up the sun!

The companionway leads down below into the central galley/saloon. The saloon features a leafed dining table and settee seating, with larger settees further outboard that double as single bunks/pilot berths. A well-appointed galley with a propane oven/stove, running salt and fresh water and a large refrigerator shares the space.

MASTER CABIN Full-beam large, airy private cabin with ample light and ventilation from portholes and deck hatch, a double berth to port and a single berth to starboard with ensuite access to the shower and head.

STARBOARD CABIN Cosy private cabin with a comfortable double berth, plenty of storage space and easy access to the second head just across the passage.

FOC’S’LE Unusually for a sailing ship the foc’s’le is ideal as a guest cabin thanks to its privacy, double berth to starboard as well as a single berth to port, and ample light and fresh air from the deck hatch overhead.
