Puritan
Puritan is a superb 126 ft (38.40 m) Gaff Rigged Schooner built in 1930 by one of the most acclaimed American naval architects, John G. Alden. She is one of the most original and carefully restored great sailing yachts of her time.
Puritan’s history is both thrilling and dynamic. John Alden’s powerful lines are a statement of her seaworthiness, making her a true blue water cruiser with many ocean crossings under her keel.
The warm atmosphere, elegance, and charm of her interior are enhanced by her recent refurbishment and light Oregon pine finishing. She is recognised as one of the most important yachts of her time for her pioneering hull, and today brings her guests an unforgettable, luxurious charter experience in timeless style..
All with en-suite bathrooms
Air Conditioning is available throughout the yacht.
‘By choosing to charter Puritan, you financially support our initiatives to Preserve and Protect our Marine Environment. 15% of our charter revenue is devolved in such initiatives. This year, thanks to our clients’ financial support, we launched the Blue Regatta, the first Plastic-Free Regatta for Classic Yachts (more details here: please add the following link: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/DUMKF1NeK66tGjSS/?mibextid=WC7FNe) . In this regatta we managed to fully avoid the use of 6,000 plastic bottles, replace plastic bags and cutlery with marine-friendly alternatives, encourage more responsible habits with owners and sailors of more than 600 yachts .
This year we keep spreading our concept of the Blue Regatta during the Monaco Classic Week and the Spetses Classic Regatta. Our target is to save 75,000 plastic bottles per year, by 2027 and ban the use of plastic from sport events for classic yachts! Puritan Initiatives also include ‘Seaborne Microplastic Analysis’, ‘Posidonia Meadows Project’ in Greece, ext… Your contribution is important.’
